Park Brake Imbalance
Hello everyone!
After a few weekends of doing bits and pieces to my car to have it road ready I failed the MOT on park brake Imbalance :( its ment to be 40% or less and it ended up being 59%.
It was the passenger side that was worse.
Got it home and turned out to be a seized handbrake cable which I got free, wee tighten in behind the handbrake and seemed perfect. Had her back the next day for a re-test and it failed on the drivers side being worse with around a 59% imbalance again :(
Its a 1998 Rover 400 diesel with drums on the rear, brake shoes seem to have plenty of life in them and cables don't look or feel stretched.
Any ideas?
