tethering a laptop with samsung fame

hi everyone, I have two laptops which I use at two different places and one of them I can easily connect to wifi via my mobile using android tethering



the other laptop I cant connect via tethering, it can see the connection but wont connect to it [in "view wireless networks"]



both laptops use win xp, and both connect to home wifi no problems



phone is a samsung fame gt-s6810p using android 4.1.2



any ideas why it wont connect? do I have to change any advance settings? [on laptop]
