Why are my wheel nuts made of cheese?
It just took me 2 hours to remove 1 wheel... Partly because the garage that did my tyres tightened them to about a billion lb/ft and partly because the nuts seem to be made of cheese.
Are you supposed to be able to take the standard none locking nuts off with the chrome cover thing on them? They just rounded off instantly and were a complete pain in the arse to remove.
And then that actual bolts themselves were a pain. Hammered a 17mm socket onto them and used a 2 foot breaker bar only to find that the car would rather roll backwards up a hill than let go of the wheel nuts. 18mm just rounded them off instantly.
Next time I get my tyres changed I'll be taking my torque wrench and doing the wheels up myself
