Bouncing Car....
Yeah, its still bouncing :(
I'm running out of ideas now.
The symptoms are that when having been turned off, typically when the engine is cold, sometimes the car will bounce badly when pulling away. I can normally get around this by engaging the clutch and then putting the car back into drive with more revs, but you can really feel it straining. This will allow me to get moving, but you can actually feel the car very gently pulsing as its moving along. Once warm, she's lovely! Lively engine, pulls nicely, no complaints at all.
I have however noticed she backfires a bit when cold, a couple of times on average. This happens when revs go 2.5K+ when very cold, so I tend to stick to below that now until its warming up.
So I've replaced the:
Air filter
Fuel filter
Oil filter
Spark plugs
HT leads
Coil packs
CAT
No coolant or oil leaks found. 52MM TB installed. No error codes, no indication of it running too rich or too lean either (that I can find anyway)!
I'm thinking of replacing the dizzy rotor arm, but not sure what good that will do as its not doing it all the time, just sometimes.
What I've noticed is if the car is at a car park it will do it 8/10 times. If its on my drive, which has quite a steep angle up (always park nose first, so nose is higher than tail) it will do it 2/10 times.
Today actually it was on the drive and I pulled away and it started, but even by engaging/disengaging the clutch it did it again, i had to wait a few seconds before pulling away.
I'm really worried I'm doing damage, but really have no idea what the problem is.
Wat do? Help please!
