Clutch dilemma
Hi,
As per earlier posts, I've suffered the famous clutch problems (can't select gears, although pedal height ok and no obvious fluid leaks) in my 190 for some time now. Problems started at 107k and the car now has 127k up.
Initially had the master changed and all ok for about 8 months. Then same problem so had the clutch and slave changed and ok for about 700miles. Guy that fitted it said he couldn't see any fault with the clutch or slave (and I saw him fit it, so I agree). He says it has to be the master (logically, even though it's only done about 7k). We did bleed it again which lasted 1000 miles.
I read on here that half say change the master (to a Tazu), whilst half say bleed it again (and maybe once again after that), or bleed from the bleed nipple backwards.
That's my dilemma - another master or another bleed ??
