Directional tyres.

Silly question maybe but, how important is it that directional tyres roll in the right direction as in its downright dangerous or just inadvisable ?



I ask has have generously been given an alloy with a almost brand new tyre (thanks Dave) to replace my horrid spacesaver. But, it has a directional tyre on it meaning if I get a puncture on my nearside all's good as rotating in right direction, but offside puncture it's rotating the wrong way.
