Electrical Issue - CD Replacement

I have changed my cd unit in the car to a KD-SC601 JVC Receiver.



The existing connections seemed to be ok to slip in.



My problem is 3 fold.



1. It does not keep its memory.

2. When I turn off the car the window wipers move up and down once or twice and then stop!



3 The cd unit itself seems to be getting very warm indeed.



Anyone able to give some light on this subject?
