LE500 Aerial base.
Has anyone else had trouble with radio reception on their LE500?
I took the base off today to check the connections out and found the connector that connects into the RF cable isn't earthed. The outer "Metal" part of the plug looks like it is plastic with silver on it. I did a continuity check between it and the metal part of the base and there was no continuity, which is odd. Also, the cable to the radio has no continuity on the outer sheath.
I took the TF160 off and it is earthed, but the TF one is a female end and the LE one is a male end so they can't be swapped. I plan on getting an older TF/F one and running a whole new length of coax to the radio.
