Mk1 to Mk2 conversion, help needed

So I'm in the middle of converting the rear end of my Z to mk2, I've currently got a boot and bumper being sprayed to match the car I just need a little advice concerning the wiring.

First of all can I use the mk1 latch with a dash mounted switch? (The mk2 boot i bought has no latch or anything)

Secondly does anyone know the best way i can go about wiring the number plate lights? The bumper I bought came with the lights on it but no plugs.

Also a bit off topic but my bonnet is refusing to close properly and no amount of jiggling will make it latch (need to fix before i put a refurb'ed bumper on)



All help is appreciated my guy who usually helps me with my electrics has let me down so now I'm stuck scratching my head.
