Multiple Misfire - Resolved
Hi All,
Thought it would be worth sharing my recent woes on my TF 135 Sprint. A gradual increase in uneven running and " pulling back" during acceleration, especially when under high loads was becoming unbearable. So, after changing spark plugs, coil packs and fuel filter ( from reading the extensive threads on here...) it still didn't go away! So, i did what i should have done first and inspected the two spark plug leads. This showed that one was blackened inside when compared with the other. £14 later and two new leads the problem is gone....! simples huh?
also to note that, my bluetooth code reader works fine but; when attempting to plug in the machine at my local garage, neither of theirs could talk to the car... apparently, those machines use different pins in the socket under the dash? Anyway, all better now although a little extra expense was required due to inaccurate 'common sense'!!!
