Vibration

Hi All,

I am just wondering if anybody else has experienced a problem I am having at the moment. When I first get in my car and start driving it is fine. However, once it has warmed up to normal operating temperature if I brake from anything over about 50mph I get a fairly violent vibration that makes the steering wheel 'bounce' rather than 'shake'. I also get some vibration as I am driving at speeds over about 60mph.

I have had the wheels balanced and all wheel alignment done recently. I have 12 month old 11 spokes all round and newish tyres on the front (Toyo on the front, older Falken on the rear). The car is lowered (with knuckles) and has Trophy discs and calipers on the front (these were second hand from a breaker but seemed fine at the time of fitting). Otherwise it's a standard VVC. It passed the MOT a couple of months back with no advisories and I can't feel any obvious play in any suspension components or bushes etc. I have tried spinning the wheels and rolling with the engine off and don't detect an obvious sound or sign of warped discs.

Any ideas what I could check/get checked next?

Cheers,

Jason
