Which brake discs/pads to go for?
Put my recently purchased Ti in for an MOT yesterday and it only failed on discs and pads which I was expecting, so it looks like I'll be keeping it - so, time to start fixing it up.
New discs and pads are going to be required for the MOT, what should I go for? I'm not sure if going for MG/Rover OEM would be best, some Pagid or similar from Eurocarparts or wherever, or I've seen several other options around. Grooved brakes look pretty good but I've read good and bad things about them, good that they're better at dissipating heat and water but apparently they can be noisier.
Everything I can find looks like £150-200 for the full set, sound about right? If so then I'd rather go for whatever will offer the best performance, no point saving £50 to get some cheapo parts that won't perform as well or last as long.
If anyone's had good or bad results with certain combos I'd be interested to hear it. Also, if anyone's gone for braided lines I'd be interested to hear if they've made a difference.
