Alternator !

My alternator is not charging the battery.

The battery is new.

Reads 12.6v when car is running at the battery.

If I take a voltage reading at the alternator

I get 14.6v.

So why isn't it charging the battery?

Is there an inline fuse?

I have a spare recon alternator which I will try.

No visible loose or broke or rusty connections .
