Are hi-flo cats worth the extra over a de-cat pipe?

As per title. I have a Janspeed cat back system already, but with standard manifolds and factory cat. Tempted to swap out the cat now.



Decat pipes typically £150-170, vs Janspeed hi-flo cat at around £280. Is it worth spending the additional money for the cat? I'm not planning a manifold change at the moment (if ever, at £500).



Any comments on noise difference between the two? Have to say the Janspeed cat back system is very quiet, at the track the car registered around 81dB static test, the same as a friends standard Mondeo!
