Dead lock not working

As above really dead lock not working. I can lock/unlock the door by the key and I can lock /unlock the door by pressing the remote once. However when I press the remote twice to deadlock it only locks without deadlock.



Have done a search and the opinion is the locking mechanism is faulty so this morning I have replaced the locking mechanism with another and the fault remains, no deadlock.



I know some will say leave it, and its a pita when it jams but I really want it to work. So any suggestions.
