Finally got a testdrive!
Well, I've finally had a test drive in an MG6 (and MG3).
What Can I say, the dealership was fantastic. Non-pushy, helpful and down to earth. We had sometime to explore and have a nosey round the cars and then we went out for a test drive. Took out the MG6 Diesel and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.
It was a TSE spec and I thought it was very solid and well bolted together. My Dad came along with me and said he was very impressed. He said he had come along, owning a Lexus and expecting them to be "budget" in comparison. He was very impressed, the only thing he wasn't impressed with was the "leather" in the 6.
the drive was lovely, quiet. I can't fault the car I really can't. My only gripe is the "Aircon" cubbyhole is only on the TSE spec! Loved that idea.
We took the MG3 out as well, but only round the block. I thought it was once again a nicely screwed together little car, solid and it felt much more natural behind the wheel, like when driving mine. It just lacked something in comparison to the 6!
Would I buy one? Yes, but I'm not sure it makes sense money wise currently, despite my long commute. Will do some maths later... :)
