Fitting a pair of snail horns
Seeing as its not driving weather today I thought I might get around to a couple of jobs. First job on the list is to replace the original wimpy sounding horn with a pair of snail horns. I had a pair of these on my motorbike a few years back. they are plenty loud enough with a hi and lo horn.
On the wiring diagram for the horns it says to connect a live directly from the battery. I'm thinking why not cut off the two pin connector thats currently fitted for use on original horn, this has two wires into it (1 positive 1 negative?) put spade connector on each wire, plug one on each of terminals on first horn piggyback the positive to the second, earth both on the mounting bolt and Bobs your aunty. As the horn is also used for the alarm if I use the original wiring in this way the alarm should still sound the new horns?
Is this correct or should I stick to driving the car and leave the work to my mechanic
