OIL POURING out of CVT rover 45 gearbox

Just been under the Rover 45 1.8 CVT and it has a drip where the gearbox and engine meet but get the engine running and oil starts to pour out it's very close to the where the main joint between box and motor mind you also could be coming where the gear lever cable enters the box? I'm assuming the worse anything I'm missing?

All help really appreciated as my daughter in law is a midwife and needs a car asap.
