The horror of a HGF going to Bath

Sadly the green elf seems to have blown the engine head gasket, a coolant pipe burst on the way there, it was replaced in Bath, but the coolant just disappeared when refilled, so it is very likely that the engine piston must be full of coolant. Will be transported today back to my place. Now the question is how difficult it is to replace the head gasket, I have worked on other cars and replaced head gasket on my tractors, but the space to work on a tractor is massive compared to the dinky engine bay of the MGF. Any information will be greatly appreciated.
