Closing the sunroof

Hi all -



Unlike other cars I've used the sunroof on the 623 GSI I'm sitting in doesn't automatically stop in the closed position when I try to close it. If it's tilted and I hold the forward backwards switch, it goes past closed and into the retracted position. If it's retracted and I press the tilt button it goes past the closed position into the tilted position. In fact, no combination of key presses gets it to automatically stop at closed. The only way to be sure it's closed it is to hold one of the buttons and while looking up and then letting go when the spiggot is in the tracks between two notches above the track, likes this ||



Is something broken, or is it supposed to work like this?
