CVT ZR Output Speed Sensor

Hi All...

I have a 2005 MG ZR CVT that has shown to have a faulty Gearbox output speed sensor when it flashed up a fault code. I have replaced what i thought was the output speed sensor, but I think it was the input sensor.

I have had a look around and I believe the Gearbox Output Speed sensor is further around the back of the gearbox and harder to get at. Does anyone know exactly where the output speed sensor is located?

Also, does anyone know the part number or where I might be able to get one of these? Rimmer bros has a speed sensor, but this appears to be the same as the Input Speed sensor, so not the one I want.

The symptoms of the issue I have is that the revs are stuck at around 2000rpm, unless I accelerate hard or got over around 55mph when the revs shoot up to 4000rpm and don't come down until you slow to a walking pace or stop. When I stop and leave the car for a couple of minutes it seems to reset and I can then continue.

Any help would be appreciated.
