General Radio interference (ATC/Police band)

Hi guys and gals,



In my Chrysler Voyager I am having a very strange issue, right through the FM range I am picking up interference/static, but faintly in the background there is what sounds like Air Traffic Control/Police radio.



I live quite close to London City Airport, and I have no trouble picking up radio when I am away from home. But at home all I am getting is this interference and faint "chatter".



Only reason I'm thinking it's a mixture of police and ATC is I have managed to pick out a few bits that sound very much like descriptions the police use, like ic1 male etc, and then at other times there's stuff like bravo alpha 123.



Just wondering whether there's anyone I should contact, like I say if I get a few miles from home the radio works fine. I've spoken to neighbours and they aren't expriencing it. So really don't know what's causing it, I've even tried switching the aerial and it's the same.
