Glovebox light switch - worth checking
Only recently I realised that I have a glovebox light and that this operates only with lights on.
Anyhow mine didn't work and on checking the remains of the bulb that fell apart I could understand why. New bulb fitted it all lit up and I thought that was that.
Whilst I was there I thought I would locate the switch and plunger that turns off the light when glovebox was closed. What a mess, totally broken plastic everywhere meaning that the light wasn't extinguishing. No wonder the bulb was in a right old state.
Worth checking yours as it is a feeble bit of plastic that degrades over time allowing the compressed spring to dislodge.
