Alarm fob programming

I can't post in the "ask the gurus" section for some reason so i'll have to put it here.



i've seen a few places that will program fobs - just got to send the alarm ecu and all the fobs you want programming and they'll give you the eka code and change it to whatever you want if you'd like. i only have one fob so would like another and the eka code too.



if i take my alarm ecu out and open/lock the car with just the key will the immobiliser be deactivated? im just worried i'll send the alarm ecu off and realise i can't start the car!
