Clicking noise at rear when intermittent wipers in use.

Hoping someone else has seen this before as i had it on my last MG ZR and i also have it on this one now. When my intermittent wipers are on i notice a clicking noise coming from the boot of the car every time the front wipers have a pass across the windscreen?



Surely this isn't normal? It sounds like a switch or a relay is being activated every time the front wiper sweeps across the front screen and as it returns back you hear the click again when it next passes?



Assuming the electrics or the wiring in the car is possibly damaged as i've read that the wiring loom through the tailgate is prone to being damaged.
