Ebay feedback no longer worth anything
As some might know I bought a set of MGF LE Multispoke wheels off ebay which when they arrived did not match the listings desription so complaints were made to the vendor and when they denied there was anything wrong then ebay. However it seems that I made the horrific error of actually cleaning two of the wheels with tyres matching the description and having the wheels re-balanced before use.
The listing said:-
Two of the tyres have tread depths of 5.6mm the other two have only 2.6mm so hardly nearly new. Depths measured with a proper digital vernier caliper BTW.
According to the vendor and it seems ebay as they are no no longer as received there is no case to answer. So I resorted to leaving negative feedback pointing out the lies told in the listing. When I did so I noticed that there was also some other negative feed back about a jetski that some one had bid over £1200 on only to be told in the last hours of the auction that it did not run and was in fact broken.
This negative feed back has been removed by ebay so he has 100% positive once more. So their much vaunted feed back idea is in fact worthless.
The vendor I bought from sounded very plausable on the phone, yes I actually spoke to him before buying about delivery costs, but it seems that telling lies is just his normal daily way of operating.
I mention this as he sells quite a bit of stuff that will fit MGF/TF's but his main interest seems to be Lotus Elise stuff from Norwich in Norfolk.
So be warned.
As for me well we shall speak to Trading Standards and see what they have to say and as for ebay's feedback ............................................... well it's been proven to be worthless now so I will no longer participate in their lies and will not longer be bothering with leaving any except to those whom have already proven to be reliable and those small P/T people. if I cannot tell if their just P?T then no feedback will be left. If asked I will tell them exactly why.
