Headlights - Intermittent

Hi All,



This is really bugging me now.



I've replaced my "dipped beam" bulbs about a year and a half ago.

I've just noticed 1 side has stopped working. This doesn't sound that odd, but what is, is that I've had several bulb failures of my side lights and intermittently they will work, then not work. This morning, I've lost my left hand side-light, this hasn't been working for a few days, although I'm reasonably sure that bulb was changed at MOT time no more than 6 months ago! The right hand dipped beam bulb is also not working currently.



I'm not sure what to check. The only thing I can think of is to take the bulbs out and re-seat them.



could it be they aren't secured properly/being shaken free by the road conditions?

could it be an electrical fault?

could it just be that bulbs are rubbish these days and don't always work 100% of the time, instead only when they feel like it and then fail very early?
