1.8 VVC cutting/ stalling out when warm
Hi guys, have a 25 GTi engine in my Rover 100.
The situation has arisen after being laid up for only 2 months.
The issue does not exist on cold start and gets worse as it gets closer to operating temperature.
When coming to a stop and putting the clutch down it will simply cut out, maybe 2/10 it will catch itself and idle. When it does stall sometimes it will take 2-3 seconds of cranking to start but when it does start, it runs fine, until I stop and dip the clutch again.
Unfortunately my converted loom does not have a diagnostic port to check or clear codes.
So far;
New plugs
New coil packs
New ECU CTS.
Swapped lambda (could be faulty)
Swapped map sensor
Swapped IVAC
Cleaned sensor connectors around head area.
ANY IDEAS.
