Cooling system

Hi all



I went out in my 220 coupe today.

Stopped at garage and noticed steam escaping from front grill.

So popped bonnet.

Radiator at top steaming hot.

Radiator at bottom freezing cold.

top hose squeeze water in expansion tank up /down.

Bottom hose squeeze water in expansion tank up/down.

???



Got home undid top hose, squeeze bottom hose water came out from rad, so not blocked.

It has a newish thermostat. I canot say that since thermostat fitted that cooling was right, (you take it so)



So any ideas why on hot engine water not circulating around radiator. Heater ok.
