First time MG owner

Hi got my first MG last week, a ZR 1.4 2002 came with a couple of issues, the hot and cold heater knob just spins around and the blower speed knob allowed me to choose between 2 settings at first now it just spins around without turning them on. Also the front seat wont fold forward to allow access to the rear.
