hard top or not

as ive stated in other threads,i will be buying a TF this week(maybe next),my question is,with living in Scotland where we probably get more rain than the rest of the UK combined,am I better getting a hard top as well,as my last soft top (not MG)had to be valeted every summer as it always had fungus growing from the seats etc after our winters,does this also happen with the TF ,cheers guys.
