head gasket advice

Hi, just after some advice about head gasket. ive had an MG ZR 1.8 2004 since new, only has genuine 30 odd k on the clock and had pretty regular oil changes etc...

My dilema is should I get head gasket changed bearing in mind cars age and mileage.

Nothin to suggest any problem at the moment and i always keep eye on temp gauge and check oil cap every so often.

People I talk to seem to split into too camps... 1) if it aint bust - dont fix it and 2) better be safe tahn sorry.

In view of above be happy to hear any views of people as to which way i should go... cheers all.:)
