Soft top problem
It was a bit cold this morning and, whilst lowering the soft top, I have managed to split the plastic window - didn't realise how brittle it gets in cold weather.
In the short term it is not a problem as not only do I have a hard top but the car goes for winter storage this weekend.
I can remove the whole soft top and do it over the winter.
Bear in mind that I live in Finland and getting bulky objects delivered can be expensive, I wondered about
a) replacing the plastic (it was pretty discoloured anyway)
b) fitting a glass replacement
c) replacing the fabric completely and with glass window (the fabric is showing it's age (12+ years) and I have patched a couple of holes in it)
and keeping the original metal bits.
c) is the preferred option followed by b) and lastly a).
I am sure others have done this and perhaps they can give advice on any problems I may have.
Is it just a case of contacting Rimmers and getting whichever option delivered.
