The Engine Torque Tamer/Tie Bar Dilemma

So, my engine, already suffering from misfiring (due to moisture I'm pretty sure) is now prone to bang against its stops (exhaust manifold hitting subframe?) on pulling away, especially first thing when the misfiring is bad.

Probably the lower engine tie-bar/torque tamer I think. Gone soggy...

I'm replacing the ignition components at the weekend to fix the misfire, but the engine tie bar presents a dilemma. There is a tie bar and a bracket involved. Both have rubber bushes. To replace the tie bar with OEM is about £40, to replace the bracket with OEM is £80-£90.

That's quite a lot of money for some very dumb components.

The alterative is £50 for a set of polybushes - you get polybushes for both the bracket and the tie bar. However, the polybushes are quite hard compared to the original rubber. I suppose they could be 'relieved' a bit with holes to soften them towards the original hardness.

Anyway, my point is, have I summed up the only options available here? There are no OEM rubber bushes available for instance?
