Tie Bar bushes: mis-diagnosed MOT fail?
Has anyone failed the MOT on their MGF because of the inbuilt slop in their rubber tiebar bushes?
Dieter's site points out that a huge amount of front/rear play is a design feature; do most MOT testers know about this though?
I don't fancy my chances arguing this out with the tester - but nor do I fancy buying expensive poly bushes, the awkward job of fitting them, and then having to get the rear wheel tracking redone to compensate. . .
Is this a common problem at MOT time for F owners?
