Dyno/Rolling Road best way to get consistant readings?

OK after reading through the reprofiled cam thread and the Turbo build question thread I find that I am some what confused regard dyno/roling road testing and results. We have "Blue 33" my MPi booked in on January 12th for power test runs on a dyno/rolling road and the idea is to get a base line figure of how well or poorly she is performing as she is now. So once the other planned improvements are carried out or performance parts fitted another session can be booked to compare the results. sadly we cannot afford to test after every part is fitted or change made.

Currently she has a 52mm Throttle body, TF 135 air filter with intake moved to the front of the box feeding from the N/S intake vent and a after market mild steel exhaust. So would ideally like her to be giving a slightly better result than with the standard quite restrictive MGF industion set up but with 74,000 on the clock she has obviously some engine wear to allow for.

So we need to be able to make the runs/tests as repeatable as possible condition wise to get valid comparisions. Have noted that it was mentioned that tyres and pressures can make a difference so would it be a reasonable idea to set aside a set of wheels/tyres to just use for the sessions?

Sadly we cannot do much about the humidity and temperature as that will just be what it is on the day. I must admit that my knowledge of these machines is almost non existant so any sound advice is most appreciated after we don't want to be throwing money away. It's in short enough supply as it is!
