New owner in need of alternative clock advice please?

New member here, first post!



I just bought a 45SE from my Dad. It is ten years old, only done 49k miles, immaculate inside and out and comes with a full service history, full set of keys manuals etc and all receipts from new! He just bought a new car and they only offered him £375 trade-in so I matched that to use it as a commuter car as it makes sense not to put miles on my main car.



Anyway, deal's done and 'Roger the Rover' (named by my girls) is on the drive. So, time to sort any small issues....



The CD80 needs replacing as it looks like the local garage broke the little catch on the fold down front when taking it out to replace the heated rear window switch (they glued the front panel closed!). I have now fitted an Alpine CDE133BT so we have bluetooth streaming and hands free phone. It matches in quite well with the amber/red setting for the display.



Next is the infamous Trafficmaster clock with missing pixels/display cable issues. I was going to replace the ribbon cable with a HDD ribbon but as TM is no longer working I thought I would buy a standard clock on eBay but then i thought it would be worth asking you guys if there is a better alternative.....? Ideally something with outside temp sender as well if possible.
