Rover 100 1.1 Kensington

Hello,

I've got a 95 (N) reg Rover 100 Kensington SE 5-door in Kingfisher Blue that has just failed its MOT and has a slipping clutch. Vehicle is located in Cranleigh, Surrey.

MOT fail was for welding on the rear of the sills and a couple of minor items (clevis pin on handbrake, brake pipe touching exhaust slightly - I'd just replaced them, just need a tweak).

I do not have the work space to fix it up, otherwise I would fit a new clutch and keep it running. Engine is very good and it's very reliable, would be a shame to break it, so I'd like it to go to someone who can repair and continue to run it.

It's done 76k miles, I've owned it since Dec 2010 at 46k miles, it's had the headgasket done (MLS gasket with headsaver shim), the rear radius pins done (no cambered rear wheels on this car!), recent new fuel tank, two new exhaust sections (rear and mid) for the MOT etc etc. Cambelt done in Dec 2010 at 46k (very soon after I got it). I've done all the work. Rear arches were done by the garage I bought it off and are very good.

The MOT expires 19th Dec and the car drives well, so if you can pick it up before then you could in theory drive away if you have tax and insurance arranged?.... otherwise will need to be transported / trailered.

Have a whole heap of spares too, including lights. Haynes manual will be thrown in with the car.

I would like to get £100 for the car and misc spares.

I'm selling the following separately though:

Alloys

Full set of alloy wheels (the rare five-spoke items) with centre caps (5 of each). Four tyres have good tread, the fifth not so good but ok as a spare.

All are good and straight, no cracks, could use a quick blow over with a rattle can but solid for age and use. Look good on the car.

Hydrogas System

Another full hydrogas suspension system off another metro, including four displacers and front-to-back pipes.

Prices:

I would like £100 for the car;

£100 for the alloys;

£100 for the hydrogas system.

However, if you want the lot will go to £250.

Any questions, please ask! I just want to save the car for someone's project and keep it going.

Kind Regards

Phil AKA Kensington1.1
