Rover 45 Engine Conversion
I know this thread title will make a few people groan and mutter "not another dreamer"
BUT
Currently we have a ZR track car, which doesnt get much use.
We have seen a really tidy 1.6 45 with engine issues.. and the plan is to build a sleeper.
I am very familiar with 25/ZR's and have swapped from a 1.4 to a vvc on the track car along with various mods to my previous Rovers.. However I do not have much knowledge with the 45/ZS range.
For us the cheapest option would be to stick the vvc engine out of our track-car in. Being a 1.6 we would need to use the PG1 from the vvc, however am I right in assuming we will need driveshafts from another PG1 ZS?
Also does anyone know if the gearbox mount is different from the ZR to the ZS?
I know the wiring will take a little work, but that isnt a problem for now :)
Final plan is to run a T-Series turbo, but for now the vvc will go in for essentially no cost to us.
