Swapping to a mk2 45 - worth it?

Hi all,

I have a 2003 ZR TD as my commuting car at the moment. I do pretty high mileage at around 23k a year, 90% motorway, so needed something economical. It certainly works perfectly well at this bit. However it is pretty tiring to do such long journeys in day after day, despite me adding full leathers, seat heaters and bi-xenon projectors (for dark winter miles).

So, I've been on the lookout for a mk2 45 connoisseur diesel, preferably saloon, to swap it to. I'm hoping this will be a good bit quieter on the motorway and have a much more supple ride. With project drive being well in effect by the time of the mk2s though, will this be the case?

i.e. does anyone have experience of a mk1 ZR vs a mk2 45, and can give some input on how much better the 45 is in refinement, if at all?

Cheers
