Where's my coolant going?

Any history of small seepage form around the heater matrix? I can't see any sign of coolant loss anywhere else, but I do get a suspicion of a slight smell inside the car, so will try and get a closer look.

The level in the expansion tank goes down extremely slowly - it's got a new cap so it's not that (I hope).

The car was first registered Feb 96, so the heater's getting on a bit!
