Dunlop Sport Maxx tyres - word of warning.
When I bought my Tf towards the back of last year, one of the first things I had to do, was change the rear tyres.
Local tyre dealer "did me a deal on a pair of Dunlop Sport Maxx's, which he had, they were taken off another car, but had 6mm tread on, so happy days.
Or so I thought.....
A word of advise, if you drive a Tf, don't go near these tyres!
Dunlop also make a Sport Maxx Rt, which apparently has a stronger wall, and more stable, but these tyres are just plain awful.
There is so much flex, changing lanes at speed, is frankly terrifying.
This, coupled with the fact I endured suspension damage after hitting a pothole recently, which put 4 wheel alignment completely out, has made the car absolutely no fun to drive.
Alignment was done a few weeks back, and new tyres should be in by the weekend.
Looking forward to getting my old car back!
