Easy repair for this roof?

Hi All,



I acquired my MGF in April last year and it already had the hole but has been repaired with a sticky repair kit on the underside, however recently it seems to be getting slightly worse and going white? Is there any gel or anything that will stop further fraying and to blacken it back up a bit?
