Hood movement ???

hi,a few weeks ago I found a space between the hood and window,which was letting in water etc,got the hood adjusted and it sorted the problem,all good...went out to car tonight jumped in and my drivers seat is soaking wet(and my jeans)looked at window and there is a space again even wider than it was before I had it adjusted last time,my question is,what causes the hood movement,when I haven't been using the hood as its winter, is it possible there is hood shrinkage ???
