Its all ended in tears :(
Hey guys, Ive not been on the forum for abit. Reason being that on the 23rd of December I had... well a major accident in the TF. :(
I was in the outside lane of the M60 on a cold dark very wet night. It was a 50 zone and I was traveling around 45 - 50 while overtaking a van in the middle lane.
All of a sudden the back end goes . . I was instantly looking at the vans o/s door while correcting the steering to the right, it then gripped, shot me into the central barrier which then catapulted me across 3 lanes into the oncoming lane from Warrington.
I then unfortunately hit a mondeo which was entering the M60, I hit his rear end, span him round and put him in a ditch while I sat in the hard shoulder.
Car was declared a write off which I knew after hitting the barrier never mind hitting the other car.
Its a real shame I couldn't buy it back and sell the hard top and other bits on it.
Still I had my rover 25 as a backup car so im back in that again.
It was nice while it lasted and I may again in the future look at getting another but for now I am putting my interests back into the classic mini fund and getting that lil bugger back on the road.
as for injurys, the couple in the mondeo hardly suffered a scratch, Ive had a bad back which im only just getting over.
Looking back it could have been so much worse, having missed every car in all the lanes that I drifted across. It was my best and worst drift ive ever done.
Unfortunatley I couldn't take any pictures as the car was in a police compound at the time but needless to say it wasn't pretty.
Matt.
