Mr Gear stick meet Mr Hacksaw!

I took a hacksaw to my gear lever today. I'd been wanting to for ages. Took off about 2cm. It was the best 2 minutes of panting I'd had all week :)



I also lubed up everything and shimmed up the side-play with a sliver of ~0.5 mm thick aluminium plate.



Boy what a difference. 1st to 2nd no longer feels like I'm driving a bus. I reckon that'll shave 1/2 a second of my typical nought to naughty run.
