R25 alloys on 45?

Having lost a couple of wheel trims from the steel wheels, I managed to get a decent set of alloys for my wife's 45, with 4 good tyres. I think they've come from a 25, and I'm not sure how safe/secure they are. I'm happy with the sizes, but not sure about the studs/nuts. When I tighten the nuts up, there's stll 1-2mm of thread left inside the nut, i.e. the studs don't fully fill the inside of the nut. Is that going to be safe? Passed the MoT with them fitted...
