Sticky Windows

Been having problems with my driver side electric window for ages now.

It tended to pinch the rubber and end up partly on the outside as it went up.

Lately it's struggled more and more and 'bangs' when it first starts to open.

Searched these forums and found useful advice so yesterday I finally got around to investigating.

Got the door panel off surprisingly easy (45 Impression '53) and no broken clips!

Mechanism / window was all nice and tight and no play. Added some grease whilst I was there.

The culprit seems to be that when the window reaches the top on closing it pushes outwards slightly to seal. I assume this is the correct behaviour?

The problem is that at the final push it 'jumps over' the rubber seal just below the door 'window sill' for want of a better description, near the lock, and the 'bang' is when it is being forced back over again on the way down when opening.

So, the question is what to do?

Is the obvious solution a new rubber seal and are these easy to come by and fit?

Cheers
