Strange problem-Tourer tailgate

Hi all



Happy New Year to everyone.



My ZTT has developed a strange problem.



The tailgate locks solid even with the car unlocked. Inner glass door opens fine.



The tailgate unlocks when you turn the lights on. You can hear the lock click. Interior lights then come on and door open warning light comes on till you physically get out and reclose the door.



Also when you remotely lock the car you get the single beep. I would assume that is because the door is not fully engaged. Even though its locked.



If anyone has a clue what this is please help. With all this rain not sure if it is an ECU or BCU or frayed harness somewhere problem.

PS Plenums were good 10 days ago not checked today but as soon as a break in the weather I will look in that department first.
