ZS diesel front springs too long?

I thought I'd change my front springs yesterday as I had a warning on them from the MOT a while ago, but the new springs are around a couple of inches longer than the stock ones.

I know the stock one is a little compressed on the shock but it will still be a good deal shorter than the new one when released.



I don't want to put these springs on if they're going to affect the handling as it's probably my favourite part of the car. Are these springs the right ones or should I get some others? I would have preferred genuine ones but they're out of stock at Rimmer Bros.
